Achy
The Neupogen shots make my bones hurt. Oh well, I guess they are working to stimulate my WBC production in my bone marrow. I am feeling better today but still tired. No nausea which is good. Holding off on the house hunt for a few months until it's closer time to get out of our apartment and until I get a little better. I was getting a bit stressed about a house but now I just need to chill. Just trying to be thankful and relax.

Hey Bud,
Chillen' is good...it's an acquired trait...sometimes takes years, I'll sign ya up for the speed readers course.
Love ya, Pops
Relaxing is harder than it sounds. When Mandy and I went to Maui, I was going crazy for the first few days until she was like, "what are you doing, all yo have to do is sit still." Then I realized. I know that Cleveland is very similar to Maui in many ways, so it will come to you. Also no matter where you are living, it is probably better than living across the street from the car wash. Stay focused buddy, you are getting there!
Hi Aaron,
I attempted to post a comment on your blog after your first treatment. I’m new to this blogging thing so am a bit challenged. I've kept up on your progress through Sarah at work. I love working with her--she's a great person and so much fun, as I'm sure you know!!
It sounds like you are doing great! I'm glad to hear that you got other medication for nausea. I took Decadron and remember the bone aches. The pain is very frustrating especially when you're so tired too. But remember, these side effects will all go away with time. Give yourself permission to relax. You’re supposed to be tired—resting will give your body a chance to heal. It's ok. You have an understanding wife who loves you even when you're not feeling up to doing anything.
One more thing, I told Sarah a while ago about The Gathering Place in Cleveland. I think you guys checked it out on line. You REALLY NEED to go there--both you and Sarah! I went to a similar cancer support facility in Akron towards the end of my treatment and really wished I had gone sooner. Like the Gathering Place, they offer free services to anyone who has cancer, had cancer or is a caretaker of a loved one who has cancer. Besides support groups--many tailored to specific cancers like lymphoma, they offer FREE complimentary therapies like Massage, Reiki, Yoga, Art Therapy, and also have trained counselors whom you will find to be very understanding. I know there are so many things that go through your mind during this time that you may not necessarily feel comfortable talking about with friends or family. Talking to a non-family member can be a great way to relieve some of the stress--which, as you know, will hinder your physical fight if not managed. At least go once to check it out--no harm done--but I bet, like me, you'll be kickin' yourself for not going sooner. You should call to make an appt. for a specific service or just walk in during their open hours for a tour. There are a lot of positives things that only someone who is/has gone through the battle understands. You get so many opportunities to meet many cool and caring people. I know that you and Sarah have already experienced that at the Cancer Center with the medical staff. And the support one receives from family and friends is awesome too. Even tough Army guys like you are allowed to go to The Gathering Place--really, allow yourself to relax!!
Ok, I'll get off my soap box now. I hope you and Sarah found a X-Mas tree yesterday and are enjoying the peace and beauty of the lights and ornaments. You guys are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Aaron,
Sorry for not writing for a while. We were without power for 6 days!!! Then there was an accident up the road a day later that took the power out AGAIN!! That lasted almost 2 more days. God was good and provided 2 generators for us. At least we had heat, water, and tv. We had the microwave and gas grill for cooking. It's amazing how much you take a stove top for granted!
My sister Sarah arrived here Thursday night, and my parents will be here tomorrow night, Lord willing. We are getting pummeled with a big snow storm today that may give us about 12 to 18 inches more of snow. I love it, but don't want anyone travelling to have problems.
I saw the post from Sarah's co-worker Betsi - she sounds like a very wise lady - listen to her advice about the Gathering Place.
Much love to you and Sarah. I pray for you every day.
Cuzin Mary
